A personal note.

I studied for a City and Guilds in Beauty Therapy and Electrical Epilation (Electrolysis) at the Abraham Moss Centre in Manchester. Under the ever watchful eye of my excellent tutor, an absolute stickler for doing things properly(!), I qualified with a distinction in 1993. I discovered I had a particular aptitude and interest in Electrolysis during the course, and we had clients who came in free of charge to enable us to practice. I was fortunate to have been given a lady who had PCOS as my main client, and as a result a severe problem with superfluous hair growth, with thick dark strong hair all over the cheeks, chin and lip. When I met her she was standing in a corner of the room near the door, head down, long hair down, shyly trying to avoid attention. A few moths later she was walking in smiling and confident as she started to see a general reduction in the hair growth. It was this that made me realise just how much it was possible to change someone’s life with Electrolysis and really gave me the love of what I do.

Following qualification I worked for a few months in my tutor’s clinic in Bolton and then I returned back to Surrey and tried looking for work. This was around the time laser became popular, so thinking there was little point in continuing with Electrolysis, I changed direction completely, however in 2007 I discovered the wonders of the Apilus Electrolysis machine and realised it was capable of offering everything and more than Laser could. I decided it was time to go back to what I had enjoyed so much, so went out quickly and purchased one, so I could get back to Electrolysis full time.

I started by renting a room in a local Beauty Salon, but it wasn’t ideal, so after much thought and discussion with clients, decided to work from my home in Capel. This offers much greater flexibility, and allows me to work hours I would never otherwise contemplate, and also, being in a quiet village in the Surrey countryside, it is quiet and I have plenty of free parking right outside my door. This is obviously mostly convenient for drivers, but for those who don’t drive, there is a bus stop just 100 yards away, and Ockley train station is a mile down the road. I have vast experience of treating all areas of the body, skin types and genders, and I pride myself on always doing an excellent job in the most efficient way possible.

Working from home allows me to work around my lovely daughter, and also allows me time to maintain my other, very varied interests, as well as working some unsociable hours as (reasonably!) requested by clients who also have to work! Unfortunately, due to my family commitments I am unable to work weekends.

Thank you for visiting my website and I look forward to meeting you.
